Seachem Safe: How do you dose and what is needed?

so it seems like everyone above is dosing for the entire tank volume and not just for the actual amount changed during the WC?

When you change your water using a hose directly to the tank that is the correct way to dose. Yes. If you are adding new water bucket by bucket, it is ok to dose that bucket of new water with enough conditioner for that bucket only.

You wouldn't believe how many people don't understand this. There's countless threads over dosing for whole tank volume or how much you just changed in a WC.
 
For the normal seachem dosing rates its very simple, 0.1gram = 100mg per 100 liters, for the removal of high chloramines you just double the normal dosing(x2 normal rate), then for emergency usage to remove ammonia you quadruple the normal dosing(x4 normal rate). So basically for how ever many lites you have = the same amount of seachem safe in milligrams(mg) for the normal dosing rates.
