ive used a 2lb container already this summer between my 130gal and 75gal tank doing weekly changes... i change out bout 80% of my 130 weekly and thats bout 104gals so i dose for entire tank which is 2 teaspoons or one HEEPING teaspoon .. cuz i have 9.78mg/l of chlorine in my tap water here, maybe my math is off tho ?

but it is alot cheaper to use and buy then anything else out there especially when changin out alot of water in big tanks, also great if ya have nitrate/ammonia spikes clears it up within 24hrs u

A lot of guys in the club use Safe. I'm giving solid consideration to just running all my water through a carbon filter as I'm filling the tanks.

I usually use a container that filters out chlorine but still dosse with safe as it don't get rid of heavy metals... I did some reasearch on trying to take out stuff like this while/before filling it up, and seems in order to pull out the "impurities" we don't want ya need a SLOW gph running threw the filter or a RO/DI unit otherwise it won't be 100% effeicent

Does safe remove the heavy metals carbon won't?

I started using the product a year ago and it has been a cheap way to keep up on the hobby when you have a large tank. I got the 250gram container for $8 and it lasted me 9 months.

I should have bought a smaller container as it may expire before I can finish using it. I bought a 4kg bucket for $97.
