SEACHEM SAFE!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
1 teaspoon = 200 gallons @ 4ppm chlorine
1 teaspoon = 250 gallons @ 4ppm chloramine

with my water running no higher (according to detroit) than .86 ppm of chlorine, I only use 1/4 teaspoon for my 50% (150 gallons) per week, but I could get away with a bit less.

thanks guys ,,, I did some preliminary investigative work and it SEEMS THAT PHX. (MY TOWN) has an ave of 1.8 ppm of chlorine and no chloramine so I SHOULD TREAT FOR 2+ PPM ... any body know a good recipe (amount for that reading).. we do have chlorine dioxite ,, is that chloramine?

.5 teaspoons per 200 gallons. you could use enough for your whole tank if you wanted, that's what they recommend if you add it to the tank as apposed to just the new water. I only treat for the new water added to the tank, and have been doing it that way for years.

so I am thinking that 1/5 teaspoon for my 90 ......1/6 for the 75 and so forth...maybe a LIttLE more to be sure ....seems like it might be easy to overdose if I don't mix it first....
