And your going to post your results throughout the cycle in this thread right??? I had doubts after a few bad experiences with other products as well until I read Ben say it was solid. I'm on team stability now too after a few successfully cycled tanks. A smaller tank like a 32g would be a great addition to the thread. Any members with a bad experience? We could use that feedback as well to help other members avoid mistakes.

Yeah I'll update on this thread. I'm going to run it through a 32g bowfront that im picking up later this morning, it should be fairly clean, the canister and substrate (3m sand maybe, undecided) have both been broken down and out of the tank for several days at this point.

I did a similar test with safestart on another forum on 2 separate 10gs and the results are far from impressive. As far as technicality goes, response from customer support about questions regarding water conditioning etc, it's all been a headache with little results apart from a few gasping fish.

Why didn't I see this thread yesterday and the day before. I messed up my cycle and had a major ammonia spike and drop in ph. Almost killed my new Red devil/midas. I used some other stuff after doing small water changes ALLLL day yesterday. The stuff I used worked tho. I was able to put my RD back in its home today and he's doing fine. He started to get HITH tho but I'm hoping it heals up quick. Good knowing about Stabiliy tho. I'll put that in the memory banks.

Who has the best price on SeaChem products? My local pet store has never even heard of "Cycling a tank". Yeah...small community pet store that will be closed soon due to the people at Walmart knowing more than they do.

Petsmart has the seachem line of products, and petland also, off the top of my head. Their prices are higher than you'll see online but after paying for shipping or whatnot it kinda evens itself out usually. I personally will choose local just to get the product immediately.

nitrate: 5ppm
ammonia: 0-5ppm
nitrite: 0ppm

the tank looks better each day wish stability. this stuf works wonders.

Oh SNAP!! never heard of it huh?Wow...

look online e-bay and select "price + shipping lowest" the head start kit is not nessasacary, just go with Prime or AmQuel+
then the Stability...

NOTE:
Something that should also be mentioned,
is that there is an expiration date on STABILITY bottles...
Be sure to check.
It does have a long shelf life
but,
make sure it's not outdated...
;)

Results are looking really good Colton! I hate you for having a DSLR! :naughty: I have to take like 30 pics with my P&S before I can get one that captures the colors properly.

I started fresh with no BB and same with the other tanks I have cycled using stability, so I have not yet had a bloom. I would just start your WC regiment as soon as you hit bingo on ammonia. It will cleasr up in no time.

Any DSLR tank shots of the cloudy water/bloom?
