I just purchased a 180 gallon acrylic tank and im curious to know how to tell if the seems are okay? I did a fill test and left it for two days and no leaks, but one side seems to have what looks like a separation on the seem at the top and bottom, it also appears water can get in this seem which makes the whitish seperation almost invisible. This doesnt appear normal and im worried it cant be used, is it possible it'll blow open? Is there anything to fix this? First acrylic tank looking for some help.

doesn't look good bro..i'm no expert but looks like major crazing..if anyting..i would have it cut..then weld it back together with weld-on 4 or weld-on 16..good luck..i'm interested into seeing what you will do

Those are some definite separations of the acrylic. You will need to get that repaired before filling it.

How would he repair this>? Could he use Triangle shaped 1/2x1/2 acrylic rod and weld on 4 and do all the seams? Thats my Idea?

Any help with what kind of store I'm looking for to buy the supplies? Run of the mill hardware or am I gong to have to order it online?
