I dont like like taking chances though, so it gets fixed before coming in the house!

Good idea!

I would drain the tank down and clean and dry the seam out. Blow it out with air if you have a compressor. Have it all ready when the glue comes in.

Alright, weld on came today. Unpackaged it, took 15 minutes to open the jar, put the needle together and injected it right into the seam. It spread into almost every crevice and made it look almost invisible. I did this with the three questionable spots and same result every time. The tank now looks better than before and i feel better about it. Filled it up, must remember it was never leaking in the first place. Gonna leave it over night and then drain and add to living room.

Cant. Friggen. Wait.

Neither can the bichirs.

I'm not worried, tank was used for 6 years in the condition shown at beginning of the thread. You cant even tell were the problem was now that the weld on has started setting. I've decided to hold off putting it in the house for at least 48 hours to make sure its set, i have weight on the corner to make sure it seals well.

The original owner is still baffled that I'm doing anything at all. Giving me the "if it ain't broke don't fix it routine".

Gotta remember that it has never at one time in the 6 years it has looked like this in full operation had a leak. And now you cant tell it ever had a problem, so I'm satisfied!

PS my confidence in the work hasn't stopped me from altering my home insurance...

EDIT, I would like to thank you zennzzo for the suggestion. I hope my attitude doesn't come off as cocky/knowitall, I'm just comfortable with the condition of the aquarium. Should anything happen i promise to let you know that you were right!

Keep us updated. I've subscribed to this thread as well.

I am more than sure you know what you have there as I do not have a clear view of it 1st hand live...

I was just wishing you luck with the new tank and showing you what the easy fix was, should you find it necessary to repair a corner seam in the future...;)

That's it, had it filled outside for a while again, emptied it and then set it up inside, now shes fully operational! I'll open a new thread for pics!
