I have 3 Silver dollars and 1 red tailed black shark
But I want a bottomfeeder that actually cleans to help
the cleanliness of my tank however since Im fairly new
to bigger tanks (I have a 55g previously only had 10 gallon
and such tiny tanks) I want to keep it to something simple..

any favorites? or suggestions?

loaches as far as plecos i am fond of bristle nose. the bristle nose actually seem to do some work compared to most plecos. Ottocinclus (sp?) are also awesome little guys but may get pushed around

do those bristle nose come in a variety of colors or are those different fish all together?

I'd go with a loach species, as well. Bristlenose plecos are great algae eaters and very active when they're young. Adults are very sedentary, especially the males.

Bristlenose are all Ancistrus species, and are generally bought for their algae eating ability, although obviously need other things in their diet too, and yes they come in a range of colours and morphs and patterns. When you say clean the tank, there is nothing that does maintanence for you, so not quite sure what you are after... All fish eat food and crap it out, and you have to deal with that.

yeah i no that but any help is welcomed haha. I know I have to clean and stuff

get a zebra pleco.
I'd prefer if the buyer breeds them if you are talking about the L46, not just collecting them.
