With a funeral to tend to in bellevue, 3 kids, wife and her mother. Definitely did not have the time I wanted to hit some stores up. Need to make this journey with fish dudes/dudettes for this lfs hop to be worth while.

Make a stop over to Kings Discus as a part of one of your stops. Got species and fish sizes that normally not seen in our Portland area. It's definately a unique place. Almost pulled the trigger on a 6" red tail gourami, but decided that they are not as good looking as my 4" gray/blue banded GG.

By the way, all the information collected in prior posts are great leads for others who want to go up north. Thanks!

if you want to find some exotic fish king discus is nice but more afordable and more exotic is litttle amazon fish store on 100th st and hiway 99. they have everything from full grown snakeheads, piranha and a good variety of smaller fish too. i did see a giant gorami full grown there once but not sure if its still there

Not trying to sound rude but if a store is selling two illegal species, does it really need to be discussed on an internet fish forum? Not a very good call IMO.

Not rude at all mr. jk47. Mentioned due to them being a popular "in my basement" species. Of course, this is a Monsterfishkeepers, i.e. fishes with big appetites forum and they are definitely monsters. Lets keep this educational and just goes to show how easy these invasive species are to obtain. This news is not pleasant for inhabitants of our warm water midwest and southeastern states.

I think what Justin was trying to get at is it isn't smart to bring up different stores or fish keepers that are in the business of selling or keeping illegal fish on here due to fish and game and agencies that are also member on here. And they wouldn't think twice to try and hit up a lfs that sells illegal fish to bust them.

I like how this was clearly stated. Thanks. It's clear and dually noted. I don't think I mentioned the exact store name which held these invasive species. Although I might of stated the vicinity. Nonetheless, still vague IMO. But the truth of the matter is that this was done on a random call to ask about selection, and this was boldly advertised to me over the phone. Overall, my visit to KD was a good one, because it is not the norm of what we see here in our Portland area for LEGAL specimens.
