Second attempt at a planted tank 30 gal

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Here is the look of my tank first start out last year, 2nd picture after few months later with re-arrange and added 2x red tiger lotus and it's ptogression recently with lot of runner leaves spout out and some reached the water surface.
**Don't mind the container there, I'm holding my 2 inches baby monster there for awhile before release it into the tank, easier to feed and monitor it in that container instead the huge planted tank :D

Going to follow this... I have Java fern a Amazon sword and a red melon sword... I dose leaf zone after every water change and root tabes everything is taking off but want to add more soon

So i cut back on the amount of time i run the lights and havent been dosing flourish or excell and no change in the algae in fact it might have gotten worse. Im thinking maybe not enough bioload ? Right now its just the paradise fish the minnows were rehomed, but this was only a few days ago o have 7 or 8 rosy barbs in qt

I've not encounter or run into this issue, I would take DW out wash it then boil in hot water for 30 minutes before put it back in your tank. I'm guessing whatever is that white stuff (fungus) is preventing the grow of your moss.

The moss is ac tually growing ok. Its growing right through the fungus.

The wood was boiled a few times
