I have no problems with hunting as long as it's done responsibly. As for reasons, there are a few. First of all, hunting can be a lot cheaper in the long run. Also, and I can personally attest to this, fresh killed meat tastes a lot better than the artificially messed with stuff at the supermarket.
And there's always the aspect of sport, which personally I don't see a problem with, but some people are for whatever reason offended by. As long as the hunters follow the regulations, there's really no reason to complain.
Totally agree, especially with the "fresh killed meat tastes a lot better.."

hunting is a tradition, its a way of life for most, i like to call myself one of those lucky few... game meat is far healthier then the tampered with beef, and alot more pleasure and respect for something you kill yourself then something that was made in mass quantity, and is probably a couple different cattle to boot..

I dont really see the point in hunting.
If you've got money, and you've got a supermarket, why kill for no reason? :screwy:

The point is why go out and buy all the beef threw out the year that could have steroids and growth hormones in it when i can go out hunting and harvest myself 6 deer for the year that grew up eating natural things and is better for you....By doing this i dont have to spend all that money on beef....Saves me a ton of money...Deer get cut up into steaks,hamburg,etc...Were beef may be apart of your everyday meal deer becomes apart of mine and my family member...so it isnt killing for no reason. In the state i live in you can drive across the whole state in 40mins max but ever year around 2500 deer get hit by cars.....This gives you a idea on how many deer we have in this state. Last year more deer were hit by cars than killed by hunters.... I can shoot 12 deer total cause the deer numbers are so high. It would be good for you to know more of the reasons people hunt instead of just thinking its pointless killing. Time to think outside the box.

I'm vegan, and oppose unnecessary and irresponsible hunting. With that said its still often better than the supermarket offerings IMO. As others said there are plenty of nasty things in factory farmed meat. On top of that hunting offers respect to the animal. Supermarket food is seen as a commodity, without having any idea where it came from or what it once was. Its also wasted in huge quantities with no thought. Its a very detached relationship to have with something important.

i'm puzzled as to why the coyotes didnt' eat the guts,.......... that's usually the first to go when they get the stomache opened up
