Has anybody heard of fish liking the taste of garlic? Well garlic makes any picky fish not willing to take pellets, bloodworms etc., TAKE THEM !!! It makes them want to eat because of the taste.
I was in my favorite LFS in South Jersey to get a simple water test, find out that ammonia levels are high due to a new setup after two weeks. I get Dr Tims Nitrifying bacteria, and notice they just got in about 50 ocellaris for 5.99 and 50 two/3 spot orino's wild for 8.99 They have them marked as tems but there not. Boosten knows the ones I'm talking about.
So anyways I grab 4 of them at 8.99 . The girl says by the way these guys are taking pellets. I'm thinking yeah right at 2-3". She says just dipped them in this and it will entice them to eat, it drives them nuts. So I grab a bottle for 8.99. I go home, now I know that for 2 weeks these guys wont take bloodworms because there wild and just picky, they only want the feeeder guppies. I take out a nice piece of frozen bloodworms, thaw it out in the microwave for 25 secs., I add one teaspoon of this stuff and mix it in. Next I took half a teaspoon of the bloodworms, toss it in and BAM, I have 10 little guys going ape**** over them. Pellets are next.
The liquid is called Garlic Guard by Seachem.
