That is ****ed up! Abuse of power right there. I mean the man had the fish for 15 years and they only outlawed it 5 years ago. Its not like he would have released them. They could have at least allowed him to buy a license to keep his fish.

And this LFS agreed to SELL the fish back??? WTF! Is that. I say get that LFS name and boycott their ass.
 
hell doesnt maine already have carp? whats the big deal with some colorful ones then, at least a predator might be able to see and eat them easier.

not that i condone the release of non natives but damn if he's had em 15 years it doesnt look to me like he's going to be dumping them in a pond any time soon.

i feel bad for them but maybe they can get goldfish now...unless those are banned as well.

Wanna hear something ***?

in WA the popular feeder fish Fat Head Minnows aka Rosy Reds is illegal here. They said they eat Salmon eggs. Which is a stupid, because the size ratio would be something like a fist to a bowling ball.
 
So why was he not grandfathered into the new law? That is just wrong....

What the ****! How is it these illegal fish were seized and then given to a pet shop? And how is it that the shop is now being allowed to SELL the ILLEGAL fish to the rightfull owner? this is a case that's resoloution requires use of a shot gun and some boots for kicking down a door. IMHO
