Selfie-Crazed Beachgoers Kill Rare Dolphin

More people are killed in selfies than shark attacks

Link to statistics? And what about the dolphins on the Gulf of Mexico??? Holy yowzas, some people are more stupid than I thought.


Although its good to see that some people - like those above - still have hearts (and brains!)

Actually both reports I heard off NPR on my way to work, fairly credible. In the Gulf they thought they are targeted by frustrated fishermen, as dolphins bow ride your vessel one could easily stab a object in head if desired, as I've seen people laying down off bow petting dolphins as they bow ride. As a kid I used to live on a tiny island at the bottom of my current tiny island, dolphins used to come into the bay and swim along side the dingy, or come up under the jetty and chase the small fish around, it would have been very easy to hurt or scare them if one had wanted.. I guess it just goes to show that, even when graced by the presence of an amazing creature, some people just can't help themselves and have to be ****'s :/

I use too kind of surf with them. Awesome to have a pod swimming inside the wave your surfing on. Or be surrounded by them on the board waiting for a wave.
I their definitely smarter than most people.
