You've discussed this in another thread. A 60 isn't enough. Your knife won't grow as fast as your Oscars. What is about to happen to him is nothing short of barbaric. You really need to get a handle on this. Your bichirs are ok for now, but still...
What part of Ca. are you in? Let a fellow MFK'er help you out. Don't let this continue a minute longer.

he doesnt have a 60! Hes apparently in the process of obtaining one, but it says he has a 150-180gal??! Idk if thats correct or not but these fish are in a 20gal!

He prlly has enough nitrates to fertilize a farm


Op: i was a novice at one point and i know what its like, you wanna buy every fish you see and so on but one thing youll learn quickly is a mans fish are only as good as his equitment. Save your money for a big tank, canister or sump and hella bio media.

A 60 gallon is not enough for these guys.

Did someone else say you're in California? I'll tell you what, if you're within 2 hours of me I'll help you out. I'll hold onto your fish in my 100 gallon until you get a tank that is properly suited to these guys. Where are you located? How does that sound?

Sure, they grow quickly, but properly cared for Oscars grow faster and will cause a much bigger headache to the knife than the knife will to the Oscars.
Besides, this isn't about me. This is about trying to help this person before he hurts his fish. Being rude and inflammatory isn't going to teach him anything. Offering sound advice and explanations will.
Picking a fight with me over my experience as opposed to yours is just trolling, and has nothing to do with the OP. This person needs help and so do his fish. That's what the thread is about. No need to take it anywhere else.
