Seller Chonburiman: How has he treated you?

Mine ended up ok but got a wrong and stopped a second one in colorado before paying Linda shipping. Had to pick a different one. Got a good deal but had to stay on top of him! Not worth trying again!
 
Has anyone been purchasing any fish from Chonburiman lately? Some of the fish I've been looking at lately are his and have only considered fish that have a video but after reading some of these comments, I'm a bit wary to buy from him :(
 
Wow. I'm kinda surprised by all this. My female red texas came from him with absolutely no problems at all. I was told when the fish would be sent to Julie. Fish arrived safely and then Julie shipped her out to me. Smooth transaction. I know Chirs Barth (cjbarth) had just gotten a beautiful KK from him also. Chris, have you personally had a bad experience or just heard about some horror stories?

I did a google search and found this thread and some others. He was banned from flowerhorncraze.com for bad business dealings. From what I've read, if purchasing using a reputable trans shipper, he won't play around. Very strange and made me weary because I really like the flowerhorns he has for sale. Since I'm looking for specific features and I'm willing to spend some extra coin to get a mp or aaaa flowerhorn, it's a hard decision to take a risk on him. Glad you had a good experience with him. I'm hoping more people who did will post up since the last bad review on this thread was quite some time ago.
 
I know he does a lot of business through Facebook....A lot!! That's where I saw my RT and then contacted him. If you do decide to get one from him, go though Facebook and PM him. If he's really a shady dealer, the last thing he's gonna want is people leaving negative comments about him. It's hard for me to say he's a bad seller. I've only heard good things until now. I've also checked his aquabid feedback and its 287/303. That's a 94.7% positive feedback score so I'm really not sure where all this negativity is coming from and it seems the people on this thread that have actually ordered from him, have had a relatively good experience with the exception of a couple. If there are more bad experiences, people please speak up and elaborate a little more than just saying he sent a sick fish...

I just checked out chon's Facebook page yesterday and saw that the fish he has on aquabid that I was interested in was sold the same day he posted it and never bothered to remove the sale thread from aquabid! He sells them fast from Facebook, the least he can do is remove it from aquabid if it does sell somewhere else. This would've caused quite a problem if I would've purchased that flowerhorn. :(

I understand your frustration, but it's not something that is uncommon. That happens to other sellers too. That is why you as the buyer do what you did and either look on his FB page or contact him. I would never just send payment with talking to the seller and create that kind of dilemma for myself. That is the responsibility of the buyer. Just my opinion...
