ok so i haven't checked my mail today to see if he responded to my message. what i did was kinda lied such as the first message kinda referred me to. i told him i had an offer for 250 without a 30 gallon tank, asking him if he was really interested that if he beats that he could take the lot, and that i just had another fish go up for sale. a rejected female parachromis sp. la ceiba yellow head. so i kinda countered his offer and kinda nagotiated another fish into the deal if he accepts. im tempted to change on my craigslist add, first reasonable offer takes it all! what is your opinion on this?
^ Watch him be reading this and see what you lied about LOL :)

But really, gl with the sale. Sounds like your going the right way, entice him to pay what you want, or at least closer to :)

ok, well it wasn't my best idea to lie to him, but i mean if he doesn't accept close to 100 off then im not taking 150 off. so i have a few tricks imma try, but im running outta time in reality.

Try posting in another area of craiglist but post you'll be willing to meet halfway as well. You can at least reach a whole new bunch of people, but you might have to ride a bit further. It's easy for me because I can pretty much pick 5 or 6 craigslist's cities in my area that I can get to within 40 mins. I can reach a ton of people and usually find someone.

i'd have to go to colorado to get anywhere else but wyoming. cause wyoming isn't big enough to be split so wyoming is wyoming on craigslist. and colorado is 4 hours to CO. line. so i mean diesel isn't very cheap anymore.

he talked to his "business partner" and said 200 was the best he could do after telling me he could do 250, and after i accepted 250.

Is this one guy the only guy interested in your stuff? If you've had your CraigsList ad up for awhile and he's the only one who responded, I would consider taking his offer. You can wait for a better offer like other people here have suggested, but chances are, you won't get one much better than the offer you've already gotten (if your ads been up a few weeks).

It's just a different way of looking at things. Some people will only sell their fish for a profit and will hold onto it as long as possible to get the price they want. Other people realize that sometimes the particular item might not be as valuable as he/ she thought it was or not as in demand, and are more willing to be flexible with the price to avoid the risk of the fish dying and losing money on feeding/housing the fish. Me-- I'd rather bargain down and sell it if that's the only reasonable offer I got.
