Hey everyone, I'm thinking of selling my EBJD and was wondering what you guys would suggest as a price. I'm not trying to get rich off this fish but I need an idea because I have no idea what he's worth. I've read several threads trying to price these guys, but I still have no clue what to ask for.

He's about 5 inches long and two years old. I doubt he will get any bigger because the guy who I bought him from kept him in a ten gallon with a pleco. I've had him for about eight months and he's put on weight with me, but no length. Also, his pectoral fins are damaged and have not grown back in the time I've had him. But he's got a really nice looking head, no beak or anything. He is very healthy, eats well, and enjoys terrorizing my severum.

here's a shot where you can see one of his damaged fins.

Most breeders I've talked to sell EBs for about $15 per inch. That's a nice looking EB. You've done well after you saved it from that 10 gal.

I would go $75 for a fish like that.

Thanks everyone. I'm thinking I'll post him for $50 or $60. He's got nice color and shape but there's still the damaged fin and stunted issue. With the economy the way it is, I don't think I could get $75. Plus I'd rather see him go to a good home for less money.

He'll be up for sale in a few weeks. Look for it in the classifieds. I just moved him to a different tank so it's going to take me a few days to get him eating again. I want to make sure he's fat and healthy before I try to sell him.
