Sell it on ebay post the k and gram weight and you should get spot price. ebay poeple get carried away bidding
There are gold dealers that will pay you SPOT price for your gold. I'm sure there are dealers in Sac that will buy your gold for whatever the spot price is... just look for them. Whatever you do... DO NOT SELL THEM to the mall gold dealers or mail them in... they will give you half of what the spot dealers will give you.
Depending on what Karat your gold is...here is the break down on how much gold there is in your jewelry.
24k is pure gold
18k is 85% gold
14K is 60% gold
12K is 50% gold
10K is 40% gold
So whatever the total weight of the jewerly you have... unless it is 24k, subtract the % and you will have your gold content.
Gold is sold under the troy oz. system. There are 31 grams in a troy oz.
There are 28 grams in a oz in the US standard system.
Now that you know the breakdown... you won't get ripped off.
