Nothing special about any pothos really. - This is coming from someone who's pretty heavy into plants.
Golden pothos, Neon and others are quite common. Worth nothing.
Even the rarer stuff like manjula and n'joy are still cheap, and those varieties I haven't had much success with in aquariums, due to light levels and high vareigation.
Just don't really bother. Growing plants for money is only profitable if you've got super rare species of plants or expensive variegations (Think $250+ for a single leaf cutting)
Your way off on pricing, I sell these guys for $3.50eaView attachment 1533293It Just means I'm not dumping trimmings and I get a bit of cash for potting mix/fertilizer etc.
I don't think you understand the growth rate of pothos. To be fair, I would be selling a lot larger plants. I wouldn't sell clippings that small, even though they look great!
It wont do any harm to try, cut and pot some up and see how it goes, people will either buy it or they wont.
I doubt you will get rich from it but making a bit of cash to cover tank expenses such as food and dechlorinator would be realistic.
Third option, tug on their heart strings with reminding them that you are a local option and the funds *might* be going for a college fund. People love to be told they’re doing a good thing and helping out while having to do very little themselves.Just remember: if you expect people to buy from you, you will need to either offer a product that they can't get elsewhere (doesn't sound like that's the case here) or else you need to offer prices that are way lower than they would pay if buying from an established retailer (or else why would they buy from you as opposed to the store?).
