Selling/trading natives?

So even if it is something you bred in your tank or pond?

It depends on local and state regulations. Many states require you to be a licensed, in the same manner as a federal firearms dealer license or a liquor license. In MOST states, it is illegal to sell game fish or game fish parts that were harvested from the wild (and the same is often true for game animals for hunting).

I am sure with the game fish there is trouble. Also a fish that is native to North America, but is not native to your state is fine. I have heard of these 2 laws. but I better double check on the latter one just to make sure. Only reason I brought this up cause I do believe even if small they can bust you. Not long ago some kid on here was trying to sell some fish he caught. One of them was a baby shark and next thing you know Feds or Fish and game people showed up at his door.

There was a thread about it. But you know, he also had some illegal gars too so that might have been part of it. But I don't wanna take any chances of breaking any laws even if they seem minor.
