Hello, I have a 20 Long that I'm interested in setting up as a crab tank but with fish or shrimp. My first thought was Vampire Crabs, but they're primarily terrestrial so it's recommended 80 percent land. Also soil is the recommended substrate which I'm worried will seep into the water column and cause havoc with my aquatic side of the tank. I'd prefer something that is more like 80% water, 20% land. I'd prefer it to live with fish (maybe picking a few slow/weak ones off, but majority surviving. Is that a thing in the Freshwater world? Or am I just going to have to settle in the vampire crab? They seem awesome, I'd just prefer it to be more of an aquarium, and only part land...

Sounds like you are looking for lake Malawi or lake Tanganyika crabs. They stay most of the time in the water and are fine with a small possibility to sit on the surface.

I filmed this one from lake Malawi last year at an LFS.
