I'm planning on setting up my first tank. I don't own a tank myself but my brother has a 3 foot and 6 foot tank. Only the 3 foot is in use at the moment which I helped him setup.
Currently it has 2 bolivian butterfly, 7 neon tetra, 4 bristlenose catfish, 4 clown loaches, 3 three spot gourami. We used to have 4 discus in there but unfortunately due to us not really knowing what we were doing they died when we did 2 big water changes in the space of 2 days. Made the stupid mistake of cleaning everything in the tank with tap water including the filters. My daughters tank has 6 guppy, 1 molly and 1 bristlenose catfish.
I'm normally the one who is doing all of the water changes on the tanks so I'm learning a lot from these setups for myself.
My question is this, I'm planning on buying a 6 x 2.5 x 2.5 tank with sump weir setup and a canister filter. I'm planning on getting an asian arowana (either red or gold) 2 pleco and possibly 1 clown knife fish. Would the tank size be able to accommodate all of these guys without any issues or is the tank too small for all of them?
