instead of convicts get some clown loaches or clown knifes

Do not.. they will outgrow that tank.. barracuda that is bad advice. i would do real plants if you can and some dwarf puffers. angles would be nice. but the discus might be to much trouble with keeping good water quality.

I personally wouldnt get a bunch of botom fish like loaches theres not a lot of bottom surface area on hex tanks discus would be good though

i def am interested in the discus, but i will probably end up going w angels and puffers since they are much more affordable and easier to maintain?

i am not gonna be doing real plants, i bought about 15 fake plants and a fake branch and gravel. i went fake bc i went with lower maintenance and lower cost.

i'm gonna look up a few of these fish you guys have mentioned to see how they look.

Don't mix the angels and puffers...it wouldn't turn out pretty.
