Senegal bichir and various american cichlids

Could be but its hard to say because thats just a common name only good for trying to make the fish sell.;)
 
They call them dinosaur eels here LOL. I am already seeing how personable he is, not timid at all. He also completely ignores the other fish. I threw in some home bred guppies and ghost shrimp for him. He looks fatter today and I don't see any shrimp and only a few guppies so I think he got em. This fish is fast becoming my favorite.
