State of chaos
This might be a silly-in-its-simplicity question, but I was wondering what the Senegal owners (Best Bichir owners around :grinno:) feed their Sens. Mine ate freeze-dried krill right away, with some Hikari sinking pellets mixed in. After the Krill went bad from me forgetting to close the can, I slowly started feeding just the pellets. Today I bought a new can of Krill, and deposited 2 pieces under a cave, which my Senegal wasted no time in snapping up. She also likes Brine Shrimp cubes, but I decided that they are way too messy.
So what do MFK's other Senegal keepers give their fish?

**Edit: I also just read that Sens can live for 34 years! Is that true?

I feed mine pellets, live mosquitofish, and frozen shrimp. He also picks at the gravel. I have had him over a year and he has grown a lot.

My two eat anything i put in the tank, massivore, prawn, frozen krill, mealworms floating aro pellets, catfish pellets, algae wafers, frozen bloodworm,Live bloodworm etc etc

Algae wafers? Awesome. i remember (I think it was chloe) who had some kind of bichir that loved algae wafers...My Sen never touched them.

Mine devour most pellets I've tried. Saying that, I would like to give kensfish.com a plug for being my favorite place for buying my pellet and flake food for my fish.

I like to feed a somewhat varied diet. Right now they are eating Soft & Moist w/ Krill pellets, some shrimp pellets, slow sinking growth pellets, cichlid pellets, and occasionally some strips of tilapia fillet.

How big is your sen right now, AJ?
