Twice a day is perfect when they are growing. Once full grown they may only eat once a day. No they shouldn't come out deformed from underfeeding, just grow slower.

i have a 6-7 inch retro, 4 inch lapradei, 3 inch senegal, if i feed them twice a day will they come out deformed when they are bigger. ive seen some sengals that were over feed and they look nasty. hopefully twice a day wont do that.
