Senegal bichir question

Thank you. Thats all my questions for now I think. Im sort of a worrier when it comes to fish. I have 3 bettas which all are super happy. Their ages are 2 years 8 months, 1 year 10 months and about a year. Taking into account how long they were alive before I had them.
 
That shows your doing a great job with your Betta's, so now you about to make a another step in this wonderful hobby:).
 
What you can do is find a local fish keeper and take some of their filter media and dump it into your tank and let it sit for a couple days.
 
I dont think anyone else own fish around me :/ How would an electric blue acara do with a senegal?

what about a fish store? What city do you live in? I'm sure there's at least someone near you that you could pull some BB off of. Or at least a fish store. If you can't do that I would suggest putting a tilapia fillet in there for a couple days. Then add some guppies and see how they do.
 
Okay, and Im in Claymont Delaware. Currectly driving to multiple fish stores as we speak
 
Tank is offically cycling!!!! I also couldnt help my self and bought a new betta.
 
Gonna throw him in my 5 gallon. Currently sitting in the 29 gallon tank in a bag getting used to the temperature since thats been going for a few days
