Senegal Bichir

is flake food okay to feed to a bichir. I' m asking causer my little guy likes nightcrawler flakes.

G Getbent They have poor eye sight so they hunt primarily by scent and I'm not saying that the flakes ain't smelly enough for them to find but anyone here will tell you a quality pellet is best

I agree with beau1990 but can tell you this Polypterus go nuts for earthworms so that's definitely why it likes the flakes. If Senegal is small I see nothing wrong with it eating flakes.

cut up a worm this morning and my little guy ate it up.......

Good deal! Mine love cut tilapia pellets, tadpoles, I haven't tried shrimp yet and they love them some earthworms. I have a friend with a worm farm (supplies bait shops and whatnot) so they always get a special treat at least once a week
