Just remember when buying them that the senegal will grow really fast and the loaches will grow really slow. If you buy the loaches big enough to avoid being eaten by a full grown senegal you'll be right.

yes, CLs grow really slow but senegals grow really fast. Just watch them and move the sen when necessary.

I keep loaches and polypterus together, but make sure the polypterus can't eat any loaches. It has worked for me.
