hes gonna live in my 10 gallon till hes bigger thebn im gonna buy at least a 20-30 gallon for him to live in all alone, sounds good right?
that'd be fine when the fish is less than 9"-10". after that you need to upgrade.

great hunters and fun to watch good luck with your baby!!

tried my Snr.Puff on tiny feeder guppies today, and belive it or not he acctually hunted and caught 1. the other 2 have yet to be captured so i gave him some blood worms too.
if he is readily accepting live guppies should i switch him over to that enirely? or sould i still supplement with worms? also, is it a good idea to add peelets to his diet? if so what kind? and 1 more... do hacjet fish fit into the "dont keep with Bichirs" category or are they good to go? thnx alot

Feeders aren't generally good for bichirs and other predators. They can contain diseases that can transfer to your fish. You should only give them live feeders if they don't accept any other kinds of foods or as a treat after putting the feeders under quarantine first. A good varied diet is also good. That means feed them worms, pellets, smelt, market shrimp, etc. Generally you also don't want to keep fish that would fit in your bichir's mouth.

thnx, i was also wondering if there were any other problems with feeders other than that they are unclean, and if i set up a little swordtale breeding tank if it would be of to to use it as a bichir food farm, the swordtales would be well taken care of and wouldnt be diseased or have paresites. trhat would be ok right? i also want to add pelets to make a balanced diet , what kind should i use?? thnx a million

'' i also want to add pelets to make a balanced diet , what kind should i use??'' I use hikari
sinking carnivore pellets.
There are many other foods you can add into its diet frozen bloodwoms, mysis shrimp, krill
and brine shrimp.the freezer section of the market is your friend too.-Anne
