Guppy is right. It's a marbled sleeper goby, or Soon Hock, an ambush-type predator that does not have the "elegant" of some other top water predator, but make up with its excellent camouflage ability, quick burst of speed, and...a very large mouth!

you forgot to mention the dentures on a marbled goby lol they have BIG teeth!

Well, I have seen the goby "in action" many times, but to be honest, haven't seen its teeth yet...

May be next time, when I order Soon Hock from the restaurant, I'll pick something on the menu that would include the head, so I can really examine the teeth, LOL!

I will try to take a picture of the marbled goby at my job, it's scary LOL. I keep him with small baby african cichlids so he's nice and fat.
