serious concerns re: mfk that everyone should see

i am not bad mouthing anybody... i am just asking a simple question dude. i want to be a part of this site just as much as you are.... i just want to make sure my ducks are in a row first if you know what i mean!!

i mean what if in a couple of years when this site is the most popular on the internet they want to make a compilation photo album and they use your pix and dont pay you for them?? just because it might not sell now doesnt mean that it wont sell in the future...... i mean people invest in things that dont make money all the time - they are called loss leaders.............

i dont want to be paid for them, im not greedy, or thats how it seems to me.

as long as they put my name under the pic im all for it:thumbsup:

then whats the problem i read all the fish mags available and never have seen any pics used .
 
Basically its there incase someone trys to sue the site for stealing pics when they did not or something stupid like that because people will find the easyest ways to sue someone. I for one know that the business of photos is a big one, I have had photos of my own (not of my fish but of landscapes and beach wildlife) published in books, I have been paid for it and what not and I know it can be alot of money if the photo is good, with that being said I still upload my photos on this site because I know they are trustable. Most of it is basic legalitys that are covered incase someone trys to sue them over something they didnt do because people will try to find any loop hole they can to get money out of someone. As for the charging All the Admins put money into this site. Being a mod I have yet to put money into this site nor have I ever been charged and I would gladly donate money to this site if it is needed, but they dont charge their members. Again that is basic legalitys in case something happens they have the right to do so, but no one on this site has your info just your e-mail addy and what you decided to put in your profile, nothing that can find you and charge you money. The free raffles etc. Have been going on for a year now and there is nothing suspicious of it, its just a way or rewarding members, most of the big raffles require a larger amount of posts not just anyone person can enter which is why it is a reward. Most of the members are fine with the terms and I think it is better if you say to do this for you, becasue not everyone on this site has a problem with it, just pointing out that it is bad to speak for a group if they do not agree with you and then if they do agree with you then say some of this sites members etc. Anywho welcome to mfk and I do hope that you stick around and get to enjoy the site with out any worrys.
