Wow, what is going on with your tap water!? For the next week I would do daily 50% water changes just before dosing stability for that day, and double dose the ammo lock. Drop the water a bit so that the water from your HOB falls further into the tank to maximize aeration. With ammonia levels that high, I would mix the ammo lock with the tap water prior to adding it to the tank.

it amazes me i'm just completely shocked by all this happening, they are getting pretty lethargic now, i've already done the water change today but i fear that isnt enough they are gasping air quite bad.. i'll lower the water alot and hold out..

i think its a bacteria bloom that is whiting the tank out, i cant even see any of the plants, i have to look at the sides to see if the fish are at the surface, even though i did a 50% change in water, it just clouded right back up when i poured new water in.

if the tank is so bad at the moment why don't you just put the fish the the plastic container you had them in momentarily like you did before just add a heater and put your filter in it and now it acts as a standing tank. Then you can fix your tank but stop with all these chemicals.

It sounds like a bacterial bloom. I would also leave the lights off for the next week. What is your temperature? You may want to drop it down a couple degrees for the next week as well. Don't feed your fish for the next 2 days.

i did a 20% water change today, included ammo lock and water conditioner.. i've left the tank with 10gallons less for maximum aeration. the fish arent heavy breathing anymore, but the tank is still extremely cloudy, lights have been off all day.
