Are they all cobras??

Most of the snakeheads in the U.S are ''Cobra snakeheads'' but you will also find the Giant Snakehead :P .

And snakeheads are illegal to keep in tanks in USA these days, right?

Yes, but you can get a permit to keep them if you study/research on them at a UC/College.:)

hehe okey nice :D , So people are studying about those fishes in USA :D ? Sounds nice!

The most common SH is Channa Argus and is established in a few different states and has been caught in several.

The cobra is the only other snakehead established in the U.S. and it is restricted to extreme souther Florida. No other species are established.

Hawaii also has an established species or two, but Im not counting that!

It sounds so wierd, just one chinaman realesed these fish and now they can be found everywhere in USA :S ...Almost.

Well I have a question to you guys, What happens if someone go and catch this fish in some lake or something in USA and then take it home and starting to keep the snakehead in a tank.
Will the keeper pay a fine if someone see that he's keeping a snakehead or will he/she be arrested?

Um there have been confirmed giant snakehead communities living in the everglades. There are also some other species living in FL. Cobra is not the only one.
