hey guys a lot of you are going to hate me for this and I hate myself for this but right now i have 2 6-inch rbp's in a 30 gal. But it didn't start off like this at first I got them and they were about an inch in size and now they definitely need a 55 at-least, but my dad wont let me upgrade! is there anything I can say to him that will convince him to let me get a bigger tank?

get your own money, and buy the tank yourself and just dont tell him, once you have it at home he wont have a choice but to accept that you have got it. thats what i do all the time lol
well he is just mad because a year and 1/2 ago i got my first tank and it had bacteria bloom for like 1 months and he said it smelt so he doesn't want me to go threw that again. And i do have the money for a tank and etc. and i can easily fit a larger tank in my room.
Don't be lazy do proper tank cleaning and overfilter the tank. It won't smell and it will look good. Also I would suggest you get at least a 75g
^ +1, but I did the whole go out and buy a tank without telling the parents and they didn't really care once they saw it all setup in my room, they thought it looked cool. They weren't too thrilled about the major cash I just dropped on my new 125 tho haha.
thanks you guys for helping me out. hopfully he will come around. The thing i just dont understand is why he doesnt let me because they look so nice set up!
I concur, with the proper Maintenance to show how responsible you are the tank will not smell. Prove to him that smell will not come back.
