haha many of yall have obviously not kept gouramis b/c they can be pretty aggresive...i had a gold and blue in a tank with a texas and oscar and they meant business. i saw them kill many of feeder goldfish...i think they might could stress fish out enough to lead to their death but not deliver a death blow. that looks like a pearl gourami to me

But yea, I've seen gouramis with a bit of fight in them too.
its a male 3 spot, they can get an orange chest when breeding being aggressive, I've had a female lace/pearl gourami beat the crap out male larger than her, and dominate acara's her size and less. Compared to you garden variety betta I know which is the more aggressive labyrinth fish

wow my two gourami's have survived with my agressive GT...for some reason he leaves them alone and if there are new fish in the tank they are the courous little *ucker's lol I've kept Blue gourami's most my life and never came across an aggressive one...makes me kinda want one since I like the aggressive fish lol
lol i had a dwarf that was picking on my discus so i put him in a un heated 33 gal he froze on a cold night i feel bad poor guy
