Seriously considering a Leporinus

They can be bast Ardsley,
Mine have fit in with community fish to large cichlids and predatory fish
Who knows
The fish itself, the tank size , tankmates all make a difference

I had one that was a holy terror. Was not overtly aggressive but methodically killed off several fish before I realized he was the culprit, even taking out larger and more aggressive fish. I got rid of him and order was restored in the tank. They also get much larger than people realize. Interesting fish with nice coloration and pattern but I would proceed with caution.

+1^^^ I had one launch like a rocket during a water change, was astounded at the speed of takeoff. It all ended well though

I've had him now for several months, he's fit in great. He's a really great addition to the tank. I've had no issues. I put him in with my large Texas at first in a 75 (it was just the two of them) then I moved him into my 150, for no other reason than that it was a freshly set up tank and I wanted him to be able to claim his turff in time. He's one of my favorites. Lots of personality and he's really unique.
