seriously injured micro

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yes, i know that salt helps with the healing process and stuff, i've used it before. just i felt like complaining about it :D

but i mean i also forgot to say if my micro ate well yesterday..and is swimming around really active and stuff. and actually saw his food and ate it on the third day - that must mean his vision has improved, right?

my theory is that if it is eating then it has a pretty good chance of being ok. just my thoughts though.

ok well i've added salt and changed the water. he is starting to look better. got his normal colouring back, looking much more alert and swimming all over the tank - just i noticed his balance isnt so good. you guys know the way micros just hover in the water, right? well he is hovering, but sort of his head is going down slightly more than his tail is. so he isnt horizontal. but so far he is eating well, swimming ok and his eyes are starting to clear up too. for one thing he recognises me again :D:D:D:D

Wouldnt surprise me if he made a full recovery. The one I had many years ago jumped out of the tank every chance he got, through spaces I was sure were too small for him.More than once I found him dried up certain he was dead.tossed him in the tank and in a few hours he would be swimming.
Good luck with yours and learn the lesson! If he can get out he will, make that tank escape proof!

i have polys and stuff so i have straps for the lids :D mine isnt going anywhere haha :D

i really hope that is true!

absolutely unbelievably insane!!!! today i wake up...and the micro's eyes are COMPLETELY back to NORMAL!!!! his eyes are clear and back in place. all swelling and blood completely gone!!! seriously guys...i cannot believe this. i had no idea they were so hardy!!! the flesh that came off his head around his eyes and further down are healing back - i can see new tissue growing, but its still white. i think another few days or maybe a week and his wounds will be gone completely!! but seriously...you lot should have seen him when i released him from the pull of the canister. absolutely unbelievable that he has pulled through this. i seriously thought he was a goner. and he hasn't caught any infections! (touch wood :p)

i mean from having completely cloudy, opaque white eyes and not seeing - actually bumping into everything when he has swimming a few days or something, with blood around his eyes that popped out of place. to a near to normal micro has really shocked me. i cant believe he pulled through :D

will get some pics up after i do a wc :D
