Seriously thinkning about it

a 90 is fine for a small shoal (4-5) of rbps (red bellied piranhas) or their more expensive relatives the caribes. Or you could try one of the more solitary species, a solo rhom or elong would be able to live comfortably in a 90.

+1

I'd get a small shoal of red bellies as they're the most readily available and cheapest. they'd even work in your 90...what's the footprint?

Rhoms are cool looking but you'd be dedicating an entire tank to just one fish, it's driven many people to boredom

thanks for the suggestions everyone. tank is 48L x 24h x18w. I have had single monsters to a tank before, just thought a shoal would be a better living room center piece.
