Now wait a sec man, I'm not saying that anyone think you do NOT keep fish, would just be nice to SEE them instead of having to use the imagination all the time.

All I see is your avatar when I read your posts. My eyes drift to the left, causing me to get lightheaded and fall off of my chair.

Besides using the imagination is good for the soul. Like I do with your avatar, I use my imagination as to what's beyond the box, er, so to speak.

I enjoy competitive squirrel raising

Pics or it never happened.

;)

Oh and further. Dear lord my photo skills suck, my tanks are barren and ugly and my overfiltration would make the folks here snicker and laugh.

Also, I have a cheap camera phone.

Oh and the whole bad luck thing.

But i understand the need for photo's.

Mamma Mia, look folks, I've always considered it bad luck to photo and post pics of my fish. Even that one time i posted a video, i lost the darn fish right after.

Having said that, maybe I don't have any tanks at all, and I enjoy competitive squirrel raising, and I just post here out of some bizarre desire to converse with fish people.

am i sensing some mtvism?

i've also always wondered what your stock looks like

I agree it's an odd reason not to post pictures, each to their own I guess.
I don't post pictures, because I haven't been able to do so for about a year without having my own internet and now because the water leak at my "slanty shanty" AKA run down rental house damaged my camera equipment.
I get frustrated not being able to post any pictures ever.

At least it's amusing when people think the arowana in my avatar from the New England Aquarium is mine.

looks like a how-to guide for growing individual feeders for a gator gar ;)

That Cichlid in your avatar looks like a Garter Snake feeder.

See? It goes both ways. Calling someones' beloved pet a feeder = not cool.

On your personal Info, you have = "A nice tank full of game fish!" Uuuhhmmmm.........what games do they know how to play? Yup!, I went there :D ! 1) Go Fish 2) Sheeps head (card game) 3) Quarters,...I bet they can flip that quarter into the shot glass in their tank no problem....and they always point to YOU to drink, right ? :grinno::screwy::ROFL:, sorry, imagination went off on it's own...:screwy:

when i was studying the african culture, i learned that alot of them consider it bad luck to be photographed. Something about a part of your soul is captured when it's frozen in a photograph and you never get it back and you need it in the next life.

Anyways, don't want to get into religion, just wanted to point out that associating photos with bad luck is real.

MTVism? I've become one of them! :)

I'll see about the pictures.

Here's a detailed listing of what you'll find in my basement:
A. Custom 75 gallon tank (two foot wide). Custom stand made of iron, skinned in wood, then covered in laminate. Custom canopy, covered in laminate

Filtration: Aquaclear 500 | Acuaclear 300 | Aquaclear 200 | Fluval U3 internal | Cascade canister filter 700

Black gravel and sand. Heater

1 Red Oranda.

1 Long tailed Shubunkin

B. 33 Gallon long, iron stand - no top

Filtration: Fluval 305 | Two Fluval 105s | 1 Cascade 500 canister | 1 Aquaclear 300 | Two Aquaclear 200s

Brown gravel. Heater

1 Blue Oranda
C. 33 Gallon long, iron stand - no top

Filtration: Two Cascade 500 canisters | Two Aquaclear 300s | Three aquaclear 150s | 1 emperor 280

Brown gravel. Heater

2 regular Shubunkins

D. 30 Extra High

Filtration: Penguin 350 | Penguin 200 | Penguin 150 | Fluval U3

Blue gravel. heater. ceramic log

1 Ryukin with shubunkin colors
E. 20 Long

Filtration: Penguin 350 | Penguin 150 | Penguin 100 | Zoo Med canister

Sand, orange and black gravel. Lavarock, Java fern. Heater

1 Albino Shark.

5 tanks in total. Add their gallonage (is that a word) and they probably don't add up to a single tank in most basements around here!

What else is in the basement? My daughters doll collection. My son's action figures. My fishing tackle. My escape from the wife when shes chewing my ear about something or other.

Oh and a kick ass de-humidifier.

So there you have it, in all my non-monster glory.

I used to keep natives, but I found that I'd rather catch them and release them.

But I like your take on it better!
