Well my (Serrasalmus Elongatus)Pike Piranha , is definately the most aggressive fish I own or have seen for that matter, I have 6 RB's, 1 Black P and this guy out does them all. He constantly patrols the tanks and as soon as a food item hits the water, he grabs onto it and does barrel rolls until it is minced meat, he gets in such a frenzy he actually bit the top off of my plastic plant. He is tons of fun to watch not at all shy and is very active, I would highly recommend one of these little devils to any piranha lover . I thought $75.00 was alot , but it was definately worth it :P

Well here are a few pics of my Black Rhom, does anyone know if they are usually very shy? I got him a few days ago and all he does is hide in the corner , I never see him and he barely feeds. Has anyone else had this problem?, my pike piranha, is swimming all over the place and feding like crazy. I hope my Rhom shapes up soon. (I mean look at that smile, he seems happy :P)

Well, I am now completely obsessed with Piranha and they have taken the place at the top of my list. I have a 3" (Serrasalmus Elongatus) Pike Piranha coming tomorrow and have a 40 gal long set up for him and also have a 2" (Serrasalmus rhombeus) -Peru coming with it, and have a seperate tank set up for him as well. I have been doing alot of research on both, but would like to know if anyone has personal experience keeping Serrasalmus Elongatus, I havent found many threads on this species, but have heard that it is more aggressive than the Black P. Thanks.

I am trying to find a Serrasalmus Rhombeus (Black Piranha). That is so awesome. I very interested in seeing your photos of them. Can't wait and I will be checking back. I used to own red belly piranha and a black piranha years ago. I got into piranha when I was kid and now I am getting back into them again. I currently own 3 pacu and I love them. The one pacu is 9 inches, the other is 10 inches, and the third one is 15 inches. I always had a facination with pacu and piranha. I do know that they are cousins, but they are very different from each other. I really like your Serrasalmus Elongatus. I never seen one before and they are really cool looking. Good luck and wish me good luck trying to find a Serrasalmus Rhombeus.
