Serrasalmus gibbus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yea piranha? if it Serrasalmus family can be a gold spilo/mac.. if it pygo family can be a tern.

gotta post up some pictures.

The price will tell you if it is gibbus as they cost a lot I mean like $100.00 more then spilos. & ternats. Gibbus are hard to find. spilotes come around here & there. Terns are actually common.

to tell you the truth, depending on the price, i would get the fish whether it's a tern, spilo, or a gibbus, they are all great fish.

I am assured its a gibbus. Its about 3 inches, looks mean. They are asking £35 for it. Is it like the rhoms, one to a tank? Or can it be mixed with others?

definitely a solo species, you can check out opefe for more info on them. do you have any pictures of the fish? i just asked if you knew for sure if it was a gibbus because they look very similar to rhoms at a young age and some people try to pass off rhoms for gibbus.

I'm going over to have another look at him. I will put a deposit, and take some photos. I'll post them later.

sounds good man, i'll be lookin out for them. it's being sold for roughly $70 american, right? that'd be a great price for a gibbus, not so much for a rhom tho.

Already got a rhom Joe, had him about 5 months, paid £0 for him at one and half inches. About 4 inches now.
