Already got a rhom Joe, had him about 5 months, paid £0 for him at one and half inches. About 4 inches now.

so does the gibbus you're looking at buying look even remotely like the rhom at that size? maybe showin a bit of yellow instead of orange/red?

Here he is. I just picked him up. I'm told its a Gibbus but would valued anyone's opinion. Pictures not that good, he's a little stressed.

that is a gold Spilo/Mac not a gibbus.

yup, definitely a gold spilo, and a nice one at that... good pick-up

No! Definately not a spilopleura. No red on it at all. Jaw is different. Tail colour is different. Perhaps my pictures are not coming across too well. Mine has the yellow throat and yellow/black/yellow tail. Very prominent teeth, I have not seen on any piranha before, there like a tiger fish.
