So, He has finally started coming out of his shell and he is amazing to watch :D:drool: I catch my self often seeing him move quickly out of the corner of my eye and sit there and stare for hours :drool::eek: I havn't feed him anything live but watching him eat is pretty cool and he seems to attack almost anything I put in the tank. :nilly: Here's a few pics :D:D:D

Thanks :)

BTW I was wondering about getting a picture of his purple hue... I notice the purple on him ever once in a while, when he moves I see the purple, but not really sure how to bring that out with my photography. Now I've been a photographer for a while but I'm new to taking picture of fish, so I'm learning a lot... *Then again it is a lot like taken picture of a two year old child :D They will not sit still, cant really punish them or it makes things worse, and keep your hands away from there mouth...
Anyway I was thinking it was all about angles, so does anyone have any tips for me or should I just keep trying till I get it.

very very nice. with size alot of p's become less shy. i remember when i had my black rhom. i saved him from my brothers tank and weened him back to health from 1.5" when he barely had any fins. raised him to 5" then we had our bad flood here in cedar rapids iowa about 2 yeara ago and knocked the power out for 5 days so my fish died. but he ate 3 plecos. all were twice the size of him. it was cool because i had a bone yard in my tank

usually if you take picture at certain angle from the tail you should be able to bring out more color of the scale. flash is also needed.
here are few pictures of my old blue diamond, hope can give you some reference.

Nice pics :D:D:D I love the blue hue to him!!!
I had guessed I just needed to find the right angle but since I have only had this guy a week I don't want to be taken to many pics all at once :)
Anyway here is that feeding video I was talking about... Sorry about the lighting I'm still working on getting the best video :headbang2
