Set up a 2.5g Betta Tank!

great job on the tank! i have a spare 10 gallon im thinking of putting a beta and some shrimp and a few tankmates in too..

Nice looking tank. In your opnion how many Bettas would be safe to keep in a 10gallon tank? Or should it be just a single pair?

I honestly dont know lol, these are my first bettas!

But from what I hear its hard to kept a male even with females, theres a tendency for domestic abuse but keeping my fingers crossed but Id say 1 male & 3 females would work in a 10 with lots of plants for them to hide

Go for it! just make sure the shrimp arent small enough for the betta to eat

From what I've been reading, a 10 gal tank is good for a "sorority" tank, ie a female tank. Must have more than 4 bettas though. A good number is 6, but they are a tank you must check on regularly.

1 male and 3 females is a no. The two dominant females will pick on the weaker one, after that battle is over, the more dominant of the two will pick on the weaker one, then you are down to a male and female.

BUT, I'm a noob, I've had my tank for not even a week now :)
