i have a 180g coming and i was wondering wat type of setup should i have to breed rbp's cost is not a problem:headbang2 :headbang2

There is not a certain setup you need. Really the only thing you need is a breeding pair of Reds.:naughty:

they are from the amazon right, so i would emulate there native home, sand substraite, a current, plants, low light, driftwood. go to the net and find under water pics of the amazon, rent an amazon documentary, wolf in the water is a good one, shows them breeding. the best piranha breeder i know is a member here, dontgointhewater is his username, and www.dontgointhewater.com is his website i believe, he is an expert, hes got like 4 breeding pair. a simple but effect set up and seems to be a pretty decsenct dude, he will share info. ive had them lay eggs, but no fry, but my ultimate goal is to breed p, no particular reason other than ive never done it before.

I'm looking for imbreeds myself.. :nilly:

i have 4 1.75 year old rbp's if their breeders should they have paired off already?

normally p sexually mature around 18 months, i did read one time where a 9 month old male made love to a 2 year old and is now paying child support to 1500 lil ones

so they might not be a breeding pair in my shool, if i get 4 more when the 180g comes in what do u think my chances are that 2 of the ten will pair up?

Pretty good, im no expert though, but you need to get them all to get along, set the 180 up and put all the piranhas in at the same time, old and new, that way no one has established territory. p are terribly territorial and will kill if there nest area is invaded

2 of my p's starrted showing breeding behaviour:nilly: :woot: :woot:
