also i ran the small internal pipe out over the top with a t piece in the middle and a tap to suck the water over the top and get it going.

The drip itself isn't hard. Setting water height and drain is the important part.

Ok, thanks for the info. Have you installed one before?

Mines a little different. I run 2 filters. 1 closed loop and 1 open sump.
The drip goes into the main tank. From there water goes into the overflow and either runs into the sump for filtration or into a drain set for height. In the sump I have a 1 1/2 inch float valve which keeps the height in the sump from spilling over. The drain behind the overflow goes to a floor drain.
Drip comes from cold water pipe at hot water heater. From there I ran the pex into an aluminium 1/4 in line around my pellet stove exhaust pipe to heat the water to about 95° . The water then goes to a carbon block then out to the main tank with ball valve to adjust.

Thanks for the info! That is convenient that you can use your pellet stove to heat the water! So I've i have the inline hose coming off of a pipe under my sink I should tap into the hot water line, or will I need to use both the hot and cold and have it run into one hose before it hugs the tank? So you have your outlet tapped into your overflow box? Can you post some pictures of that, and the float valve?

Thanks guys

No. Fresh water just dripping into main tank first, under the tank lid.

Here's the float valve in sump
