No. Fresh water just dripping into main tank first, under the tank lid.

Ok so I was starring at that picture and I think it just clicked and now it all makes sense.

So the float is on the main pipe coming off your overflow box on the back of your tank....if your sump starts to get to high, then the float valve shuts the water off from going into your sump. Once that happens that pipe fills up and thus your overflow box water level begins to rise and then the drain off of that allows the excess water drains out that way? Is that how it all works??

If your not running an open sump, all you need is a drain to set height in the main tank
