Setting up a used 210

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The brace is still curing. It gets re-filled today. Both sumps are re-sealed, new holes drilled.

Plumbing is 90% re-done It turns out I need a 1 1/4" barbed 90* to finish it.

Everything went fairly smoothly last night... For a welcomed change. I have two 1" overflows from my refugium type sump to my trickle sump... I'm going to have to modify that at some point. I don't believe they'll be able to handle the full power of the pump. It's fine for now though.

Looks great did you go with pvc or tubing ?

All of the pertinent bulkheads that I had were pronged so I went with flex mostly. I have some hard pvc in there but not much. Ran in to a snag when the old megaflow overflow had a 1" barb and the new one had a 1 1/4" barb but all of it seems to be working pretty well.

I'm excited to have the sumps the way I do. The trickle tower is prefiltered in the other sump so I shouldn't have much of a problem with the tower getting a bunch of waste in it. Unless I end up using the other sump to grow something out.

Things are better now. I had to add another drain to the first sump. Tops are fitted. I need some more tops for sumps. Decor is pretty much finished. I need to add an algae scrubber and some pothos to the sump. Right now there are two Ventuari orinos in it.

The camera on my S5 doesn't really like those LEDs. They are 5050 RGB LEDS. I can lower the intensity of any of those 3 colors. I've played with it some but does anyone have any ideas to make the light um... whiter, maybe?

Nice, seems you've been through a lot here...can't believe I missed this thread...LOL.

For the record, 90* PVC although not ideal, can be your friend too in many cases.

It definitely helped on that drain. That drain is running really well. The other one is now a little loud but it's working.
