In this thread, I will post all the steps I am taking into setting up my new tank. I am open for suggestions.

On 3/19/08, I got my stand for my aquarium.

Another update is coming tomorrow after I put the gravel, plants, wood, heater, filter, light, etc.

wow very nice dream 55 tank.. this will be fun building it from beginning to end... what are you putting in it..is it a surprise... keep us posted with updates and more pics... :D
 
Nice, looks like it is coming out really good. I've had a few of those cascade canister filters before and they work great for the price, I would highly recommend them. Also maybe you should add another heater because it is always better to have 2 in case something happens with the other one.
 
looks good so far! cant wait to see it filled with water.. like someone else said, soak that driftwood (weigh it down with a large rock) in a bucket to get some of the tannins out if it.. that way your water doesnt get really brown..
